Homestyle Taiwanese food that is very flavorful and fresh ingredients. A good selection of noodles soups (my recommendation) and many other choices for dry (non-soup) dishes. The sautéd vegetables are also a great side dish. The ambiance is very simple yet clean! It is mainly a serve yourself place, except for the food delivery. After you choose your items you walk to the counter let them know your order and pay. This is a cash only place. The counter person will bring the food to your table once prepared. After your meal, they ask you to go to the recycling center, which is basically a few bins, where you discard your leftovers, your silverware, and any trash that you have.

Cozy spot with homey, comfort Taiwanese dishes from rice bowls to noodles/soup. The menu is diverse in its many options - for example, you can get dry or with soup options for noodle dishes. But every dish comes with a warm, comforting chicken soup with carrots, potatoes, and beans! We got the Popcorn Chicken to share which you can get Spicy Regular or Extra Spicy - would recommend the Spicy, as the seasoning is pretty strong. There's more juicy chicken pieces as opposed to other places where it is more breading. The portions are generous - our dishes had a lot of noodles and rice, so it's a great spot if you're feeling extra hungry! It's a self serve spot - after you order, you can help yourself to hot tea or water and grab utensils before sitting down. Once you're done, make sure you follow the directions and properly dispose your bowls and utensils. Make sure to bring cash as it is cash-only!

Everything we got was so good for the price. R2, the buns were amazing and definitely the star. Would definitely come just to get the buns and they definitely overshadowed the other items we got. The service was excellent and it was pretty busy at lunch time. Overall, a good experience!

Chimama's is a cozy, modernly designed space serving delicious Taiwanese food. You get seated, then walk up to the counter to order your food, which is typically ready within 15 minutes or so. My family enjoys the Lu Rou Fan, Da Lu Mian and the Niu Rou Mian. We also like the popcorn chicken and the grass jelly dessert - SO GOOD! There's also a parking lot situated right outside, so all the boxes are checked off for me .

Chimama is on the south side of Bell Blvd, a block away from Northern Blvd. There is a row of parking spaces for the businesses on that block, or street parking. Accessible by buses. Inside is bright, beige/light wood color on walls and tables/benches. Waited 15 min for a table on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered at the counter, and the food was brought to our table, then we cleaned up after ourselves (bins set up). Only one person attended to the customers but he was patient and calm. The music playing was also relaxing. The rice bowls came with an egg, cucumber and soup on the side (we liked the mild broth with pork chunks and radish). Khong Rou Fan had tender, fatty pieces of braised pork and I preferred it over Zhu Pai Fan with fried pork loin. Salt and pepper popcorn chicken was a group fave. Spicy version had spice powder on it (as opposed to fresh chilies which I prefer)- we only asked for "little spicy" and was enough for me. Salt and pepper chicken cutlet had the same flavor (but for the bigger portion, would just get the popcorn again). Rice not included. N5 soup- Xue Cai Rou Si Mian had a lot of mustard greens and little bit of shredded pork. Flavor is good, al dente noodles. Under "extras", can get addtl food items if you don't want a full dish. Got a taiwanese sausage to taste for ~$5. Self-service for Water and tea, utensils.

Such a cute Taiwanese restaurant located on Bell Blvd in Bayside. The area is easily accessible via bus on Northern Blvd and has a small parking area in the front too. I came on a weekend night with my friend and the place was relatively packed but we were able to find a table for us. The turnover rate is quick as people came after us and left before us or maybe we are just slow eaters! Haha. The employee behind the cash register walked over and asked if we have been here before and guided us to our seats. He informed us to order up front whenever we're ready, that it's cash only, and that we have to dispose of the trash and bowls at the garbage area ourselves once we're done. My friend and I ordered a bowl of beef noodles and a spicy popcorn chicken to share. Both were very flavorful and delicious on a cold winter day. The popcorn chicken is very spicy though - so be careful! I'm happy there's a restroom in the back even though the restaurant is relatively small. The place looks very homey and I can't wait to come back soon. The employee was also very friendly throughout the whole course of our dinner too.

There's no service here. The food is okay, the luroufan was not that good. The braised pork belly over rice as well as the minced pork rice are both way better. There's barely any seats here and remember to bring cash as they are cash only.

Love this local Taiwanese spot. I have especially come to love the daily soup which is as close to home cooked soup as you can get. It's a small open space that's clean and bright that has a cafeteria feel. It is mainly self service. Staff is patient and helpful. Best of all the homey dishes are delicious.

Really love the Lu Rou Fan. It comes with a delicious bowl of pork soup as well. This is one item that everyone would love. All the noodles and beef stew rice are nice too. Chicken wrap was crispy. Pork chop was a bit too chewy and not special for me. I enjoy this nice little family restaurant!

I have ordered both take out and dine in. Definitely recommend dining in if you can because the food quality is much better. A favorite is definitely the lu rou fan, it's flavorful and gives you that "home cooked" vibe. Their niu rou mian is also very good (I wish they had a tomato option). Their iced milk tea is also very delicious, though may be too sweet. When dining in definitely bring cash! No need to tip. Takeout you can use credit card. When you dine in you place your order at the register and they bring the food to where you sit. After eating be sure to bring back the trays and plates. You can also grab free tea and utensils near the register. Ambiance is cozy, it's a small place with limited seats. Saturday afternoon was very crowded. There is a small parking lot out front, though it can somewhat narrow. Overall would recommend if you're in the area. Might be a stretch but I think the food here is better than Flushing.
